How to Play Your First Nights

Use the short daytime to eat, haul a weapon, and block a high shelf before store staff turn hostile.

Blue's is a retail floor that flips between a safe stocking shift and a hostile night. The official listing, by Velstorm's Survive Overnight Game, calls the loop out directly: build a fort, because the store is closing and you are not getting out. A meter at the top of the screen tracks the cycle. While it is day, employees walk the aisles but do not take damage and do not attack. When the lights go out they sprint at anyone they can see. Night also brings crawling roaches and managers. Dawn calms the staff again, and health regenerates slowly in daylight.

What to do on day 1

  1. Grab food from the front of the store. Burgers, hot dogs, ham, pizza, cake, chicken drumsticks, and Bloxy Cola all refill the yellow energy meter. Equip the food with its number key and left-click to eat. Pressing G drops the item instead of eating it.
  2. Pick up a melee weapon near the entrance if one is there. A katana or sword is quiet. Guns are loud and need loose ammo that spawns separately.
  3. Climb the industrial rack in the upper-left of the sales floor using the small blue side shelves. Lay beds or pallets across the beams so dropped supplies do not fall through the grate, then block both climb-ups with boxes or sheet metal.
  4. Drop extra food and a medkit on that platform with G. Shelves restock on a three-day cadence, so a pile in the fort matters more than a full hotbar.

Shift spends stamina and drains energy. At zero energy you lose the sprint and start losing health. Identical food stacks up to three in one slot. Running with a light on helps you see, but an active flashlight beam calls distant staff.

Damage you can plan around

A normal employee hits for 20 damage. With a 100-point health bar, five unblocked hits down you. Larger workers throw crates or rocks for another 20 damage and a slow. Staff you defeat do not respawn during that same night, so a cleared aisle stays clear until dawn. They cannot be hurt during the day, so do not waste durability swinging at passive clerks.

Two ways the night count works

Update 1.1.0 split the experience into Story and Endless. Story points you at an exit after six nights: power the building, take the manager's keycard, collect the later keys, then shut five alarms while the CEO is in the store. Endless has no cutoff and is where the long survival badges live, from night 7 and night 14 up through 50 days, 100 days, and 1,000 nights. Public servers hold 25 players. A private party is described as up to six.

Hotbar size is reported two ways

Several walkthroughs say you start with four hotbar slots, and that the 95 Robux +3 Item Slots pass turns that into seven. The backpack writeup says the hotbar has five slots and that a basic backpack, crafted from 3 cloth, opens ten extra storage spaces. Check the slots on your own bar before you plan a cube run. Either way, drop bulky props at the fort instead of hauling them all night.

The current store listing labels the latest update as 1.5 on October 15, 2026, and says the experience is participating in The Hollow. No public changelog for 1.5 was attached to the cube route or the night-6 exit, so treat those steps as the standing route until a patch note says otherwise.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you escape Survive Overnight in a Mega Store?

In Story mode, power the generator with the red, green, and blue cubes, defeat the day-4 manager for his keycard, take the electronics keycard and then the gold key, and on night 6 shut five alarms while the CEO is out. The CEO cannot be damaged.

Where should you build first?

On the industrial shelves in the upper-left, reached by the small blue side shelves. Floor the grate with beds or pallets and block both climbs.

How many nights are there?

Story mode aims at the exit on night 6. Endless mode has no night cap. Badge nights include 1, 7, 14, 30, 50 days, 100 days, and 1,000 nights.

How do you restore energy?

Equip food or Bloxy Cola and left-click. At zero energy you lose sprint and then health. About two burgers cover a daytime. G drops the food instead of eating it.

What carries to the next match?

Tokens, badges, and gamepasses. The fort, dropped items, and your match inventory reset.

Is it a horror game?

Players treat the night shift as survival horror. Roblox age data cited for this experience is Minimal, the platform's lowest maturity label. Combat with employees is present, and the night floor is dark.
